The NSW government has earmarked high rise apartment towers up to 34 storeys for Sydney’s eastern suburbs, more than ten floors higher than initially planned.
Some locals told the ABC the rezoning will make their suburbs unliveable, but Premier Chris Minns said the city’s east needs to “do its bit” to help solve the housing supply crisis.
Parramatta in Western Sydney was also flagged to receive 470 residential dwellings and 500 units as part of its metro precinct project.
