Albanese beats anti-CGT campaigner in $16,500 charity tennis match
‘Stop The Ambition Tax’ campaign founder Joseph Daoud reflects on his $16,500 charity tennis match against Prime Minister Anthony Albanese.
Mr Daoud won a Midwinter Ball auction in August for the chance to play the prime minister at The Lodge.
“It was a great experience,” Mr Daoud told News24 host Paul Murray.
“Just like this budget, we saw the prime minister serve up a double fault and give himself a point afterwards.
“It was just very strange.
“If the prime minister is really about helping the everyday punter and he really wants to raise more money for charity, maybe the next tennis match he’ll actually allow my guests to come along and he will allow the Australian public to watch it because everybody wanted to see his return serve, and I don’t think it was as good as he’s going to claim it was.”
