North Sydney Olympic Pool is set to reopen after a five-year delay and $64 million cost blowout, bringing the total project cost to $122 million. The state-of-the-art facility features a new grandstand, two indoor pools, hydrotherapy facilities, and sauna and steam rooms. Olympic swimmers Kieran Perkins, Ian Thorpe and Michael Klim attended a preview event, where Klim launched a charity initiative raising awareness for the autoimmune disease CIDP.
