Men cling to side of a burning Kyiv building after Russian drone strike

A elderly man was rescued from a burning building in Kyiv on Monday (September 28) after a Russian strike on Ukraine’s Academy of Sciences building which reportedly left one person dead.
Reuters footage showed the man standing on a ledge on the building facade as smoke and flames engulfed the burning building. Rescuers worked below to set up a ladder for him to climb down.
The man appeared to wait around 20 minutes before rescuers were able to reach him, according to Reuters journalists at the scene.
Staff at the Academy of Sciences building told Reuters the man works there and was taken home after the rescue.
