‘Living under a rock’: Labor government criticised for doing nothing to protect Jews

Executive Manager at Australia, Israel and Jewish Affairs Council Joel Burnie criticises the Labor government’s hypocrisy and lack of response to antisemitism groups.

“Well, you’d have to assume that Mr Ayres and many of his Labor colleagues have been living under a rock for two years,” Mr Burnie told Sky News Australia.

“What’s really jarring about the rhetoric is that these protests have been known to support Hamas.

“Regardless of the words that they will say that there is no place for antisemitism, this federal government is not taking this issue seriously.

“We as Jews are at wits’ end.”
