‘Attacking Trump, not dictators’: Criticism erupts over Pope’s priorities
New York Post Editor-at-Large Kelly Jane Torrance weighs in on the fiery clash between US President Donald Trump and Pope Leo.
“I haven’t heard the Pope really utter any words of condemnation of the regime for killing tens of thousands of people just in the last few months,” Ms Torrance told Sky News host Rowan Dean.
“If he spent as much time attacking dictators as he did Donald Trump, maybe we might get somewhere.
“The guy calls himself a peacemaker, but sometimes you’ve got to be tough to make peace, and that’s just something he doesn’t seem to understand.
“He doesn’t seem to understand that we’re trying to make the world safer for everyone, not just Americans but people of the world.”
