‘ID checks were cursory’: How airports have changed since 9/11

RMIT Aviation Academy Senior Manager Justin Brownjohn discusses how airports have changed since the September 11 terror attacks.

“ID checks were cursory,” Mr Brownjohn told News24.

“Metal detectors were in play, but it was mainly checking for, you know, big, large knife items.

“That was pretty much it.”
