‘Lack any conviction’: Coalition under fire for inaction on Sex Discrimination Act
Sky News host James Macpherson says the Liberal Party should have moved sooner to amend the Sex Discrimination Act to protect women’s spaces, after Opposition Leader Angus Taylor announced the Coalition would make changes if elected.
“The Coalition was in power for eight years and could have done something about it. But they didn’t,” Mr Macpherson said.
“When they had a chance to protect female spaces, they chose not to.
“He wants us to believe that if we just give them a chance, they’ll now do the thing they didn’t do when they had the chance.
“The Coalition lacks any conviction.”
