Israel’s response to genocide is “boring”, says UN commissioner
UN commissioner Chris Sidoti has mocked the Israeli foreign ministry’s “boring” response to a report that found Israel is committing genocide in Gaza.
“They say the same thing every time. They’re producing the responses by ChatGPT these days,” he said.
The former Australian Human Rights Commissioner is now a member of the UN Independent International Commission of Inquiry, which concluded on Tuesday that Israel has and is committing genocide against Palestinians in Gaza.
Israel said it “categorically rejects” the findings of the UN investigation and accused the authors of “serving as Hamas proxies”, saying they were “notorious for their openly antisemitic positions”.
