Is this Australia’s ‘coolest’ suburb?
The multicultural suburb of Burwood in Sydney’s inner west has been crowned the coolest neighbourhood in Australia.
Known for its trendy food scene and bustling Chinatown, Burwood was ranked number 16 on Time Out’s annual 39 coolest neighbourhoods list for 2025 – the highest of any Australian suburb.
The only other Australian neighbourhood on the list was the inner-city suburb of North Melbourne, which was ranked 24.
