Iran declares Strait of Hormuz a red line as regime threatens Gulf-wide retaliation

Iran has declared the Strait of Hormuz a “red line”, vowing to resist any US bid to reopen the vital shipping route.

Tehran warned it would strike Gulf infrastructure if President Trump followed through on threats to hit power plants and bridges.

Iranian commanders insisted the regime can control Hormuz from across its territory despite repeated US military strikes.

The warning comes after America launched a fifth night of attacks and tightened its naval blockade on Iranian ports.

The escalating threats have fueled fears the conflict could spread across the Gulf and disrupt global energy supplies.
