‘I’m so sick of it’: The label ‘racism’ is being used to shut down debate
Victorian Independent candidate for Frankston Chrysten Abraham condemns accusations of racism surrounding Sydney’s proposed English-language shop signage rules.
“I think the favourite word of the week at the moment is racism,” Ms Abraham told News24 host Paul Murray.
“I’m so sick of people trying to shut down debate about any policy by labelling racists.
“I do think that this is more bureaucracy for small businesses that are already struggling.
“I think the council person that put it up probably woke up and said, ‘ How do I divide law-abiding citizens today.”
