Houthis strike Saudi airports | Zelenskyy condemns ‘vile’ Russian attacks | Israel marks October 7

Houthi forces in Yemen have claimed responsibility for deadly missile attacks on two airports in Saudi Arabia.

The attacks have prompted the US to issue a local security alert warning American citizens of potential drone and missile attacks saying the conflict could escalate.

Ukraine has endured a wave of what its president has described as one of Russia’s “most vile strikes”, killing at least 32 people including children on Wednesday.

The heaviest losses were in the town of Pryluky, east of the capital Kyiv.
President Volodymyr Zelenskyy says his forces have responded, hitting more energy facilities in Russia.
