For the first time in three years, house prices in Melbourne and Sydney have gone backwards with Domain’s chief economist Dr Nicola Powell saying the two cities are traditionally the most exposed to interest rate hikes and cost-of-living concerns.
However, in Sydney it’s a two-track market with units continuing to rise in value, as well as more affordable houses.
