Hired guns charged over student’s mistaken identity murder | 7NEWS
Three people, including two Victorian men and a teenage boy, have been charged with the murder of 23-year-old university student Marco Tapia, who was shot dead in his bed at his Glen Alpine home in a case of mistaken identity. Police allege the trio were contracted as hired guns and drove from Melbourne to Sydney, carrying out multiple shootings before the fatal incident on August 31. Two additional teenagers have been charged with helping stage the killing, while detectives continue investigating who ordered the hit and have identified the intended target with links to organised crime groups.
