Gazans travel home and Israelis gather at Hostages Square as ceasefire begins

After the ceasefire between Israel and Hamas went into effect and Israeli troops began pulling back from parts of Gaza, thousands of displaced Palestinians streamed back towards their abandoned homes.

Meanwhile, in Israel the families of hostages and those killed during the October 7 attacks gathered at Hostages Square in Tel Aviv anxiously waiting for loved ones to return.
