Freediver plunges 137m to set new world record | ABC NEWS
Alexey Molchanov has broken his own freediving world record for the 7th time by plunging to a depth of 137 metres below sea level.
He broke his previous record of 136m, set in 2023, to snag a gold medal in the Constant Weight category of the World APNEA 2026 Depth World Championships.
Organisers say Molchanov has broken more than 40 world records across disciplines since he began freediving in 2004.
