France’s PM Sebastien Lecornu resigns after less than a month in office


The French government is once again in crisis after its Prime Minister Sebastien Lecornu resigned just 26 days after starting the job.

Sebastien Lecornu is the fifth prime minister to step down in under two years and becomes the shortest-serving PM since 1958.

His shock resignation came shortly after appointing his cabinet, further deepening the political crisis plaguing the country.
