‘Does it even need to be in there?’: Bizarre Census questions labelled silly

News24 host Danica De Giorgio questions the need for Census questions asking Australians about their sexual orientation and sex recorded at birth.

“There’s a sexual orientation question,” Ms De Giorgio said.

“There is a what was your sex recorded at birth question, which is perplexing at best to ask in such a way as to not offend.

“Does it even need to be in there?”
