Delta believes in the power of music to unite amid Eurovision tensions
Australia’s Eurovision contestant Delta Goodrem will soon take to the main stage in Vienna, Austria for the 2026 competition.
After two consecutive years of failing to reach the grand final, experts and bookmakers are tipping Australia to qualify with the power ballad ‘Eclipse’.
Ahead of her performance, Delta sat down with SBS Chief International Correspondent Ben Lewis in Vienna to talk about the event, controversies and the stiff competition.
Responding to a smaller contest this year, with five countries boycotting this year, Delta says she’s always seen music as a uniting force.
‘I’ve always believed in the power of music and its healing qualities, I’ve always believed in a song being able to transform a room.”
