‘Deeply frustrating’: Australia’s debt to be paid off by future generations
Page Research Centre CEO Gerard Holland claims it is “deeply frustrating” that Australia’s debt will be paid off by future generations, 20 years after Debt Free Day.
“This trillion dollars in debt; this won’t be paid off by you, it’ll be paid off by our kids and our grandkids,” Mr Holland told Sky News host Peta Credlin.
“In the meantime, we’ll enjoy a slump in living standards.”
