Debate erupts over whether passengers should be woken for meals on flights

News24 host James Macpherson says if he had the choice, he’d much rather choose to keep sleeping on a flight than to be woken for a meal.

“If I’ve got a choice on a flight, I’m definitely choosing to remain asleep than to be awoken for breakfast,” Mr Macpherson said.

“Especially on a long-haul flight, if you can find sleep, you want to sleep for as long as possible.

“I would rather miss a meal than be woken up early.”
