Cuba’s president vows to resist US aggression
Cuban president, Miguel Diaz-Canel, has declared his country would be prepared to defend itself in the face of what he called growing US military aggression.
Speaking to mark the 65th anniversary of the failed CIA-backed invasion of the Bay of Pigs, the Cuban leader declared his country had prevailed through decades of US pressure.
For more than three months, Washington DC has imposed an effective oil blockade on Havana, with President Donald Trump making repeated threats to take the island.
