Car bomb plot directed by Iranian authorities says UK PM
A suspected car bomb plot near a UK airbase was almost certainly directed by Iranian authorities according to Britain’s Prime Minister Andy Burnham.
Burnham has vowed to crack down on Iran’s use of criminal networks and announced plans to impose further sanctions over its involvement in the alleged terror plot.
Five British citizens in their 20s who were arrested over the incident at RAF Fairford airbase have all been released on bail.
