New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani gave a speech celebrating his first full day in office.
“The office of mass engagement reflects how we intend to govern,” Mr Mamdani said.
“A firm belief that democracy is strongest when it belongs to the people.
“Judge us by whether engagement changes outcomes.”
