Police have uncovered alleged 3D-printed firearms and drug items during a raid north of Brisbane.
Officers from the Moreton Tactical Crime Squad executed a search warrant at a Burpengary property on May 5 as part of an ongoing investigation.
Police say they seized a loaded 3D-printed firearm, firearm parts, a 3D printer and electronic devices allegedly containing blueprints for making weapons.
A quantity of drugs and drug utensils were also allegedly found at the home on Facer Road.
A 19-year-old Burpengary man has been charged with multiple offences, including unlawful possession of weapons and possessing material for the manufacture of firearms. He was remanded in custody and is due to face Caboolture Magistrates Court in July.
A 25-year-old Morayfield woman was also charged with drug-related offences and accepted drug diversion.
Queensland Police say the rise of homemade 3D-printed guns is a growing concern.
Moreton Tactical Crime Squad officer-in-charge Senior Sergeant Tom Jakes said the weapons were “dangerous” and posed a serious threat to community safety.
