Australian shares fall on mining concerns | 7NEWS
The Australian share market fell 0.8 per cent in its second consecutive session of declines, with major miners BHP and Fortescue dropping on concerns about reduced Chinese iron ore demand. Energy stocks including Woodside and Ampol gained on higher oil prices, while Coles and Woolworths also rose. Companies including Medibank Private and Westgold Resources paid dividends to shareholders, and the Australian dollar traded at around 69.5 US cents.
