Donald Trump has announced the US will slap a hefty 100% tariff on imports of branded or patented pharmaceutical products from October 1.
The US President says companies that have begun construction of a manufacturing plant located in the US will be exempt from the new tax.
It comes ahead of a meeting in London between world leaders, including Prime Minister Anthony Albanese, to discuss the navigation of a difficult global landscape.
