Australia must ‘get moving quickly’ on defence to deter China’s advance

Strategic Analysis Australia Director Peter Jennings says Australia must “get moving quickly” on defence to build deterrence for China to prevent war.

“I don’t think one can set a date on this but the risk of conflict really between now, over the next term of Xi Jinping being Chinese paramount leader I think is the critical timeframe,” Mr Jennings told Sky News host Andrew Bolt.

“We have really got to get moving quickly if we are going to build deterrence.”
