‘An epidemic’: NSW schools’ crackdown on kids’ screen time
Former NSW Police Minister David Elliot says excessive screen time is fuelling an “epidemic” of poor social skills and bullying in schools, backing NSW plans to cap students’ screen use.
“I think the growth in things like bullying in schools, the epidemic we have when it comes to kids’ social skills, is all because of the screen time,” Mr Elliot told News24 host Jaimee Rogers.
“I’d be very, very keen to see how this works.
“I can’t see this is going to be a bad thing.”
