Amazon plane overshoots runway at Miami Airport killing five

An Amazon cargo plane has veered off the runway at Miami International Airport, killing at least five people and injuring several more as it smashed into vehicles and burst into flames.

The Boeing 767 Prime Air flight overshot the runway while trying to land on Sunday afternoon local time and struck vehicles, according to the local fire service.

At least five people were killed, while three people were critically injured, and two others had less severe injuries, Miami-Dade County officials told reporters.
