Albanese’s meeting with Trump is ‘too late’
Shadow Home Affairs Minister Jonathon Duniam has criticised Prime Minister Anthony Albanese for having his meeting with US President Donald Trump “too late”.
“We’re only just now getting this meeting. It’s great it’s happening, albeit too late when you consider the president’s had time to meet with the Irish government, the Jordanian leadership, El Salvador’s leader,” Mr Duniam told Sky News Political Editor Andrew Clennell.
“We’re a strategic partner when it comes to this region; we’re important to the US and they’re important to us.
“I’m hoping we see some solid deals done in Australia’s interests.”
