Albanese rejects Burke’s plan to slash Australia’s refugee intake by one-third
Prime Minister Anthony Albanese has once again overruled Home Affairs Minister Tony Burke, this time on refugee numbers.
The Prime Minister shut down a proposal from the Home Affairs Minister to slash Australia’s refugee intake by one-third.
Mr Albanese guarantees refugee intake will stay at 20,000.
