Albanese government claims they are ‘getting on with the job’ to deliver AI legislation

Industry and Innovation Minister Tim Ayres claims the Albanese government is “getting on with the job” in delivering an AI strategy that’s in Australia’s national interest as South Australia moves forward with its AI Royal Commission.

“The Australian government’s approach is world-leading on artificial intelligence,” Mr Ayres told News24.

“We’ll watch carefully, of course, the South Australian Royal Commission [on AI], and we’re engaging very closely with the joint select committee that we’ve established in the parliament to make sure that the parliament as a whole is engaged as we approach this legislation.”
