Aust should be one of the wealthiest nations but is stuck protecting ‘frogs and lizards’
One Nation MP Barnaby Joyce says Australia should be one of the wealthiest nations but it’s “going backwards”.
“The fact that the executive has come so much into our life,” Mr Joyce told Sky News host Paul Murray.
“Socialising our private assets, saying ‘you can’t do this because of the frogs, you can’t do that because of the lizards’.
“We’ve got so much opportunity, we could just be absolutely rocking it in the world, and we’re not.
“We just haven’t got ahead as a nation as we should have.”
