It’s been 25 years since the brutal murder of British backpacker Peter Falconio and attempted abduction of his girlfriend Joanne Lees in outback Australia.

As another anniversary passes, authorities have told the ABC they’re no closer to finding Mr Falconio’s body and providing his family with closure.

Despite this, a former Australian police officer with a strong track record of locating missing homicide victims believes he may know where Mr Falconio is. Courtney Barrett Peters has this report for ABC News Northern Territory.
