Woolworths facing court for an alleged pricing promotion scandal
Woolworths is facing court action from the consumer watchdog, accused of misleading shoppers with alleged fake discounts on everyday products.
The ACCC alleges the supermarket used pricing promotions to create the impression of savings when discounts were in fact illusory.
Woolworths says it strongly denies the claims, insisting it did not mislead customers.
The case will begin on April 21 in the Federal Court in Sydney.
