Bondi attack victim raises concerns over hospital name change
A victim of the Bondi Beach terror attack has raised concerns about the safety of Jewish Australians in Western Sydney hospitals after her name was changed without consent during treatment.
Rosalia Shikhverg was taken to Liverpool Hospital following the December 14 attack and was admitted under the Anglo name “Karen Jones”.
The hospital reportedly said the change was to limit media attention; however, Ms Shikhverg believes it reflected concerns about staff safety and claims no other patient was treated the same way.
NSW Health Minister Ryan Park says the situation could have been handled better.
