Desperate search continues as Nepal death toll rises | Trump says he stands prepared to “smack” Iran

Rescue teams continue to work around the clock to reach hundreds of people believed to be trapped inside tunnels after last week’s devastating flood triggered by a collapsing glacier. The death toll has topped 1,000 with nearly 5,000 still missing.

Rescuers are using explosives to try and reach those workers still trapped in the tunnels of hydropower plants. Authorities are turning to mass burials as relatives struggle to identify victims as time passes.

Donald Trump has dubbed Iran a “failed nation” and says he stands prepared to in his words: “smack them” following the latest strikes over the weekend. The Iranian president says Tehran is “not seeking war” but warned of a “decisive response” if attacked.
