Working-class voters at centre of political fight
Former Labor councillor Linda Scott urges parties to genuinely represent working Australians rather than simply claim to speak on their behalf.
“What’s important is that you get into governments who actually have working-class members as members of the party,” Ms Scott told Sky News host Paul Murray.
“This is a problem, isn’t it? You’ve actually got to be a member of the working class who stands for the working class, not for the bosses.
“This is the problem with One Nation: they don’t support the people who are claiming to vote for them.”
