Israel has been accepted as a Pacific Islands Forum partner, just days after voting against every UN resolution on decolonising the Pacific’s six remaining territories including; Māʻohi Nui/French Polynesia, Kanaky/New Caledonia and Tokelau. It’s a move that’s divided the region.

Dr Therese Lautua, a Samoan theologian at the University of Otago, unpacks the faith behind Pacific support for Israel.
