Werner Bronkhorst reveals his tiny football masterpieces in LA | 7NEWS
South African-born Australian artist Werner Bronkhorst has unveiled his Big Balls exhibition in Los Angeles, featuring 11 football-inspired works.
The collection showcases his signature style, tiny, hyper-realistic players painted onto richly textured canvases. Its centrepiece, From Every Corner, features 48 hand-painted figures representing every nation competing at the 2026 World Cup.
Bronkhorst creates each artwork by layering up to 16 litres of thick paint before meticulously painting every miniature player by hand, a process that can take one to three hours per figure.
