Five men have escaped a flooded cave in central Laos after being stranded for 10 days.
The search and rescue effort in Xaisomboun province involved volunteers from Thailand, Japan and Malaysia, as well as specialist divers from Indonesia, France and Australia.
Australian rescue diver Josh Richards says he and other members of the rescue team did not expect four men to exit the cave unassisted after one had previously been extracted.
