US TV networks boycott White House over media ban | 7NEWS
Major US television networks including CNN, NBC, CBS, ABC and Fox News have boycotted White House pool coverage after Donald Trump banned CNN, MSNBC and Politico from the White House. The boycott began during Trump’s trip to New York for the UN General Assembly, resulting in his first engagement having no audio coverage. The banned news organisations are filing a First Amendment lawsuit alleging violations of constitutional principles, while the White House has launched Trump TV to circumvent the media restrictions.
