Major US television networks including CNN, NBC, CBS, ABC and Fox News have launched a boycott of White House pool engagements after President Donald Trump banned CNN, MSNBC and Politico from press access. The three banned outlets have filed a First Amendment lawsuit alleging constitutional violations, while Trump has circumvented the media strike by using local cameras and launching ‘Trump TV’ to broadcast highlights from his second term. A judge will hear arguments on temporarily reversing the ban within two days.
