US lawmakers arrive in Copenhagen to help ‘lower the temperature’ over Greenland


A bipartisan delegation of US lawmakers has held talks with the leaders of Denmark and Greenland to counter Donald Trump’s tariff threats.

11 members of the US team met Danish Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen and her Greenland counterpart Jens Frederik Nielsen.

The talks were part of America’s attempt to “lower the temperature,” with assurances of congressional support towards the Nordic nations.

Donald Trump’s special envoy to Greenland, Jeff Landry, is scheduled visit the Danish territory in March, and believes a deal can be done.
