University teacher placed on leave after failing an essay
Students from the University of Oklahoma have protested on campus after a teacher was put on administrative leave for failing an essay. The essay came from student Samantha Fulnecky, who accused transgender instructor Mel Curth, of religious discrimination when citing the Bible in her assignment, writing that “belief in multiple genders” was “demonic”.
Fulnecky has come out and said she did not know that Curth is transgender but still believes she should not “receive a failing grade on an assignment based upon (her) opinion”. Curth has declined to comment. #University #school #assignment #protest #Oklahoma
