Sky News host Caleb Bond explains how an underworld cartel is terrorising small businesses.
A handwritten note was left on a grocery store’s door reading: ‘You have 24 hours to contact the commission on WhatsApp’
The shop was then hit by a ram-raid days after the owners ignored the chilling message from crime kingpin Kazen Hamad.
“Kazen Hamad is one of the big players in the illicit tobacco game,” Mr Bond said.
“Basically, his boys go around Victoria, go into convenience stores or tobacconists and whatever, and they say you’ve got 24 hours or 48 hours to pay up a large sum of money, normally, it’s three to five grand; otherwise, we’ll come and firebomb you or ram rage you.
“What a great business model.”
