Ukraine has achieved a military first by capturing an enemy position using exclusively unmanned ground vehicles and drones, with no human casualties on either side. Ukrainian drones and robots completed 22,000 missions in the past three months, with companies like Ratal Robotics converting from civilian manufacturing to producing combat-capable unmanned vehicles that can be controlled remotely via internet. The UK government estimates 1.3 million have been killed or injured in Ukraine, as militaries worldwide increasingly adopt robotics to reduce human risk in combat operations.
