UK to help Ukraine produce long-range missiles
The UK and France have agreed to share tightly guarded technology with Ukraine which will allow Kyiv to produce its own version of advanced long-range missiles capable of striking deep inside Russia.
The move has prompted an angry response from Moscow with Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov accusing the UK of “adding fuel to the fire”.
“Britain methodically and regularly fans the flame and plots in order to not let the peace process go ahead in any way,” Peskov said.
New UK Prime Minister Andy Burnham was among several European leaders to attend Ukrainian Independence Day services in Kyiv.
